A Life of Service and Faith Remembered

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rev. Bro. Rajesh Kujur CR, who was called to eternal life on May 30th, 2024, at the age of 77. Bro. Rajesh, a devoted member of the Mala Maria Ashram community, Sasaram, was known for his unwavering faith and dedication. Though he had been experiencing weakness, his sudden collapse due to cardiac arrest was unexpected, leaving his community and loved ones in mourning.

Under guidance of Very Rev. Fr. Justin Raj CR Prior General of the Congregation of the Rosarians, Bro. Rajesh Kujur’s mortal remains have been respectfully transferred to Nishkalanka Ashram in Ambikapur, where his life and service were commemorated with a solemn funeral Mass. The service was presided over by Bishop Emeritus Most. Rev. Patras Minj SJ, reflecting the high regard in which Bro. Rajesh was held.

The funeral was attended by Rosarian Fathers and Brothers, as well as other religious Fathers, Brothers, Sisters, and family members, all gathering to honour Bro. Rajesh’s life and contemplative mission. The atmosphere was one of both sorrow and gratitude, as those present remembered his many contributions to the community and the lives he touched. Bro. Rajesh served in different Ashram with commitment and contributed to the Congregation.

Bishop Emeritus Most. Rev. Patras Minj SJ, in his homily, spoke of Bro. Rajesh’s enduring commitment to his faith and the example he set for others. His words provided comfort and consolation to those grieving, emphasizing the hope of eternal life and the promise of peace for Bro. Rajesh.

We ask for prayers for the repose of the soul of Rev. Bro. Rajesh Kujur CR, and for peace and consolation for his family members and community. His legacy of service, kindness, and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew him.
