Rosarian Training Center
The Rosarian Training Centre is the major formation house of the Rosarians. Fr. Dominic OCD, then Prior General of the Congregation appointed by the Holy See, was the one who took initiative and interest to start this house. He purchased this land from the Malabar OCD province to start this formation house. A small shed was constructed and blessed on 22nd August, 1973. The pioneer members were brothers Aloysius, Thomas, Chinnayagapper and Damien.
In 1976 Fr. C. Bernard CR was elected as Prior General and the Generalate was shifted to Rosarian Training Centre from Fatimagiri Ashram, Vadakangulam. He took pains to construct this house. He laid the foundation stone for this building on 25th July, 1977. The Rosarian Training Centre was blessed by Cardinal Eduardo Francisco Pironio, then Prefect of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, on 27th February 1978.
On 3rd May, 1988 Fr. M.L. Aloysius CR was elected as Prior General of the Congregation of the Rosarians. He concentrated more on formation and self-sustenance. It is he, who started our own Rosarian philosophate at Rosarian Training Centre on 1st August, 1988. As outcome of Apostolic Visitation done by Fr. Remigius OFM Cap, the Apostolic Visitator, later it wsa shifted to Sirumalar Ashram, Tiruchirapalli in the year 1990. The theology students stayed always at Rosarian Training Centre and did their studies at Carmelaram Theology College (CTC). Fr. Lawrence CR was the Superior of this house.
The students of philosophy came again on 1st April, 2004, and studied philosophy at Dharmaram Vidhya Kshetram (DVK). Then on RTC remains our Major Formation of Philosophy and Theology students. In the year 2008 a Religious Article Shop was blessed and opened by Rev. Fr. A.M. Stephen CR, Prior General named after our patron St. Joseph as Sanjoe. Many people come for daily Mass, Confession and Spiritual Direction to our Ashram.
