Pushpavanam Ashram
Pushpavanam Ashram was established in Manaparai in the diocese of Trichy in Tamil Nadu by the Servant of God Antony Susainather with the guidance of our Founder. The 8th September 1952, the feast of Nativity of Our Lady, is a Red-Letter- Day in the annals of the Congregation of the Rosarians. It was the solemn inauguration of “Pushpavanam ashram” in Tiruchirapalli diocese by Most Rev. James Mendonca who was pleased to grace the occasion and offered the Holy Eucharist and blessed the house in the morning. After the Eucharistic Celebration Rev. Fr J. B. Packianather, voiced the grateful sentiments of the Rosarians to his Lordship. The Servant of God Antony Susainather, CR was the prior of the house. In June, 1954, Fr. K John CR was appointed prior of Pushpavanam Ashram. Bros. Swaminather, Arulpragasam, Paul, Rayappar, Gnanaprakasam Leo, were the pioneers of the house.
A small but decent chapel was put up and blessed on 3rd October, 1954, on the feast of St. Therese of Child Jesus, the patroness of this monastery. Bro. C. Bernard, CR made his Final Profession on 11th October, 1956 and was ordained as priest by the Bishop of Tiruchirapalli. Fr. L. Francis CR took charge of Pushpavanam Ashram on 29th July, 1966 as new Prior. On 8th September 1977 we celebrated the Silver Jubilee of Pushpavanam Ashram. Pushpavanam Ashram celebrated the Golden Jubilee of its foundation on 8th September, 2002. It has been serving the local people in various needs. It has been our Novitiate for a long time and until today.
