A Momentous Day at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church
On Sunday, April 21, 2024, the faith community of Kozhukkully gathered in a spirit of joy and reverence at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church to witness the priestly ordination of Deacon Nijo Maliyekkal CR. The solemn ceremony, which began at 9:00 AM, was presided over by Auxiliary Bishop Tony Neelankavil of the Archdiocese of Thrissur, Kerala.
The event was graced by the presence of Fr. Justin Raj CR, the Prior General of the Congregation of the Rosarians, along with his councillors and numerous other priests and religious, reflecting the strong sense of community and support within the Church.
In his homily, Bishop Tony Neelankavil emphasized the sacred calling of the priesthood and the profound responsibilities that come with it. His inspiring words underscored the commitment and dedication required to serve God and the Church, resonating deeply with all those in attendance.

Following the ordination, a reception was held, where the newly ordained Fr. Nijo Maliyekkal CR received warm congratulations and best wishes from everyone. The day was filled with a joyful celebration.
