Rosarian Generalate, October 10–12, 2025: The Second General Assembly of the Congregation of the Rosarians was held with great enthusiasm and spiritual fervor at the Rosarian Generalate from October 10th to 12th, 2025. The three-day Assembly was organized under the leadership of the Pontifical Commissary, Most Rev. Fr. Charles Serrao, OCD, and brought together a vibrant gathering of 46 participants, including young priests, a few senior members of the congregation, and the commissary team.
A Spirit-Filled Gathering of Minds and Hearts
The atmosphere throughout the Assembly was one of fraternity, openness, and shared commitment. The participants came together in a true spirit of dialogue and discernment, seeking ways to renew the congregation in fidelity to its founding charism and in response to the signs of the times.
After the welcome and introduction talk of Fr. Pontifical Commissary, Former Prior General Rev. Fr. S. Justin Raj CR presented 7 years of report on spiritual and material conditions of the congregation which includes the report of the Regional Superior Rev. Fr. A.F. Jeyaseelan CR. It was open for discussion.
The sessions were marked by active participation, creative ideas, and deep reflection on how the congregation can continue to be a prophetic presence in today’s Church and society. Each day began with prayer, invoking the guidance of the Holy Spirit, followed by meaningful discussions and group interactions.
Leadership and Direction from the Pontifical Commissary
In his opening address, Most Rev. Fr. Charles Serrao OCD, the Pontifical Commissary, expressed his deep appreciation for the unity and enthusiasm among the Rosarian members. He emphasized the importance of renewal, accountability, and mission-oriented living as the key dimensions for the future of the congregation. He encouraged everyone to build a culture of transparency, collaboration, and shared responsibility.
Fr. Serrao reminded the participants that the Church today calls every religious congregation to be rooted in prayer, committed to service, and courageous in adapting to new realities. His words set the tone for the entire Assembly, inspiring the members to reflect sincerely on their life and mission.
Themes and Discussions
The Assembly focused on several core themes vital for the life and mission of the congregation:

The closing Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Fr. Charles Serrao, was a moment of gratitude and recommitment, where all members renewed their dedication to the service of God and the Church through the charism of the Rosarian Congregation.

The Second General Assembly was indeed a milestone in the ongoing journey of growth and renewal for the Congregation of the Rosarians.
