On January 26, 2025, we had the privilege of celebrating two significant events: the 61st Heavenly Birthday of our beloved Founder, Servant of God B. A. Thomas, and the 76th Republic Day of our nation. The day was filled with reverence, gratitude, and patriotism.
The celebration began with a solemn Holy Mass, with Rev. Fr. Sahayadasan CR, the Vicar General, serving as the main celebrant. His presence lent an aura of sanctity to the occasion, as he led the congregation in prayer and reflection. Rev. Fr. Justin Raj CR, the Prior General gave Introduction to the Holy Mass and Fr. VG preached the homily. During the homily, Fr. VG delivered an inspiring and uplifting message, urging everyone to reflect on the life and legacy of Servant of God B. A. Thomas, who dedicated his life to service and the betterment of society. His words echoed the principles of love, compassion, and commitment to faith that continue to guide the community. Following the Mass, the congregation proceeded to the Grotto for a moment of prayer and meditation, paying homage to the Founder’s spirit and the deep faith that inspired his mission. It was a peaceful and introspective moment for all present.
The celebrations continued with the flag-hoisting ceremony, where everyone gathered in front of the Portico. Rev. Fr. VG, who was entrusted with the responsibility of raising the flag, did so with reverence and Patriotism. After the flag was raised, Fr. VG addressed the gathering with a heartfelt Republic Day message. His words reflected on the significance of Republic Day, reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by countless individuals in the struggle for independence and the importance of upholding the values enshrined in our Constitution. It was a moment of national pride, as the community joined together in paying tribute to our country’s journey toward freedom and justice.
The day concluded with a sense of unity and purpose, as we honoured both the memory of our Founder and the achievements of our nation. It was a truly special occasion, one that highlighted the spirit of service, faith, and patriotism that continues to guide and inspire us.
The Feast of Presentation of the Lord, Congregation Foundation Day and Consecration Day
On February 2, 2025, we joyfully celebrated three significant events: The Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, the 97th Anniversary of the Foundation of our Congregation, and the day of consecration of all Religious.
The day began with the solemn observance of the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, a moment of spiritual reflection and devotion as we commemorated the presentation of the infant Jesus in the Temple. This day also marked the 97th anniversary of the founding of our Congregation, which took place on February 2, 1928. It was a day to honour the vision, dedication, and sacrifices that led to the establishment of our Congregation, and to express gratitude for the blessings received over the years.
The celebration continued with the observance of day of consecration of Religious, a special occasion for all the Religious. This day is a time for renewed commitment and deepened faith, as we reaffirm our dedication to the mission of the Church and our Congregation.
The Solemn Mass was celebrated by Very Rev. Fr. Justin Raj CR, Prior General, who also delivered a moving homily. His words reflected on the rich history of our Congregation and the importance of our spiritual journey, urging the faithful to continue living out the values of love, service, and faith that are the foundation of our community.
The Rosarian Training Centre (RTC) and Rosarian Generalate (RG) communities gathered together in fellowship to mark this special occasion. After the Mass, everyone shared a meal, strengthening the bonds of unity and friendship that exist among the members of our Congregation.
In the evening, the two communities came together again for a time of prayer, as they united in Evening Prayer, giving thanks for the blessings of the day. A moment of deep spiritual significance followed, as all the finally professed members of the Congregation renewed their consecration in front of the Eucharistic Lord. This act of renewal was accompanied by Benediction, a sacred and powerful moment that drew the community closer to the heart of their faith.
The day concluded with a shared dinner, where members of both communities gathered in unity, celebrating the day’s events with joy and gratitude. It was a truly memorable occasion, a day of reflection, consecration, and renewed commitment to the mission and spirit of our Congregation.
