On September 7th, 2024, the Rosarian communities in Carmelaram, Bangalore came together to mark a day of deep spiritual significance of the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Blessed Mother, a feast of great importance in the Catholic Church. The day also celebrated the patronal feast of Rev. Bro. Maria Pragasam CR, Fourth General Councillor of the Rosarians.
The celebration began with a Holy Mass at 6:30 a.m. in the Rosarian Generalate Chapel, presided over by Rev. Fr. Lawrence, General Bursar cum Superior of the Rosarian Generalate. The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a major feast, celebrating the birth of the Mother of Christ and emphasizing her role in salvation history. It is a day that underscores the beginning of the fulfilment of God’s promise for the redemption of humanity.
During the mass, prayers were offered for Bro. Maria Pragasam CR, honouring patronal feast and his dedicated service within the Rosarian Congregation. The gathering reflected the unity and faith that characterizes the Rosarians as they sought the intercession of the Blessed Mother for Bro. Pragasam’s health and continued happiness.
Following the mass, the community gathered in the RG refectory for the traditional wishing of the feastarian and a joyful cake-cutting ceremony. The celebration concluded with a shared breakfast, fostering a spirit of fellowship among those in attendance.
